High Uniformity
Power-density uniformity above 80%; near-field line width down to 10 µm with uniformity above 90%
UNIFORM LINE LASER
Powell Uniform Line Laser Modules
A uniform line is formed when a point laser is shaped into a line through a cylindrical lens. Because lasers follow a Gaussian distribution, traditional line lasers are brighter in the center with higher power density, and grow dimmer toward the ends. Uniform line lasers use Powell prisms and Desheng Laser’s proprietary special prisms to shape the beam (single-line laser) with power-density uniformity above 80%, or with a custom distribution — the preferred choice for machine vision, 3D scanning, and measurement.

Solutions
One of the most important elements of a high-performance 3D machine vision system is the laser illumination source. Laser uniformity (distribution quality) is a key factor that determines scanning speed, resolution, and accuracy.
